About Ential

Ential is an AI firm in Brisbane, founded in 2020 according to its About page and Clutch, and led by founder and CEO Ryan Drake, who ran a mastermind program, Modern Business Accelerator, for three years from 2021. Its footer names Ential Pty Ltd; the Australian Business Register shows the same ABN as The Trustee for Ential Trust, a unit trust active from April 2024. Its About page describes a remote, async team, and Clutch puts it at 2-9 people. It sells AI consulting and readiness audits, AI training, workflow and document automation, AI agents including a branded assistant called Donna, AI SEO, and the Ential Marketing Hub, a CRM, email and funnel platform at A$99 a month. Its target client is a business with $1M-$20M in revenue.

Much of its visible work is training. Google shows 5.0 from 21 reviews on its Brisbane listing, and the ten newest describe AI training events such as Claude In A Day and Claude Code seminars, with one mention of custom applications built. Further Google listings in Melbourne (5.0 from 11), Sydney (5.0 from 6) and New York (5.0 from 2) bring the total to 40. Its eight case studies are reworded testimonials from coaches and small businesses; the only figure is a workshop attendee automating a task that took 5 to 10 hours a week. It publishes the price of its AI Operations Deep Dive, A$7,500 plus GST for teams of up to 15.

No review on any platform describes a delivered automation or agent build with scope and outcome. Clutch and Trustpilot show profiles with no reviews, and there is no G2 or DesignRush profile. It holds no partner tier with Zapier, Make, n8n or any other platform it names. Only the founder is named, so capacity for a multi-month build is unproven, and its four Google listings include a New York address at a mailbox-style suite for a team its own site calls remote.

Our verdict

Ential suits a small business that wants its team trained on Claude and ChatGPT and a paid plan for where AI fits its operations, with small automations to follow.

The case for it is a busy training practice with a consistent record: 40 Google reviews at 5.0 across four listings, most of the recent ones describing its Claude training events, and a deep dive priced on its own site at A$7,500 plus GST.

The caution is that the evidence describes teaching. No review or case study documents an automation or agent system with scope and outcome, the case studies are coaching-client testimonials, and only the founder is named. Four Google listings in four cities for a remote team, one at a New York mailbox-style address, split the review record.

A buyer who needs a production automation or agent build should look for a firm whose reviews describe delivered systems.

Pros

  • 5.0 from 21 Google reviews on its Brisbane listing, and 40 across four Google listings
  • Publishes the price of its AI Operations Deep Dive: A$7,500 plus GST for teams of up to 15
  • Runs regular AI training events, including Claude In A Day and Claude Code seminars, per its Google reviews
  • States its target client plainly: businesses with $1M-$20M in revenue

Cons

  • Its Google reviews are mostly about AI training events and workshops, and no review on any platform describes a delivered automation or agent build.
  • The case studies are reworded testimonials from coaches and small businesses, and only one carries a figure.
  • Only the founder is named and Clutch puts the team at 2-9, so capacity for a multi-month build is unproven.
  • Holds no partner credential for Zapier, Make, n8n or any other platform it names.
  • Clutch and Trustpilot profiles exist with no reviews.
