About VECTOR Labs

VECTOR Labs is an AI and data science firm founded in 2018 as Childish and renamed in 2024. Its site calls Manchester and Sofia joint headquarters, while Clutch and Google place it in Sofia, where delivery runs. It is led by CEO Krum Hadjigeorgiev, co-founder of Melon and chairman of BASSCOM, with founder and CFO Blagovesta Pugyova and CTO Andrey Nonchev, and gives nearly 50 people on one page and 30+ AI experts on another. It sells AI advisory, agentic systems and workflow automation, AI customer experience, computer vision, predictive analytics and federated learning, and it spun out the maintenance software product Fabrico in 2021.

Its one agent build is ESANA, a chat and voice receptionist for Zdraveto children's hospital in Sofia, for which the client quotes 99% call coverage around the clock. The other four case studies are classic ML: pharma enquiry classification at near 80% accuracy, drug sales forecasting, press demand prediction and coal mining computer vision. Its about page states ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1 and ISO 27001 certification and shows AWS and IBM partner badges with no tier. Clutch shows 5.0 from 14 reviews, a $10,000 minimum and $50-$99 an hour.

The outside record describes a software outsourcer: 10 of 14 Clutch reviews date from 2020 and cover web platforms, PHP, React staff augmentation, Salesforce and e-commerce under the Childish name, and none describes an agent or LLM build. All 10 Google reviews came in two bursts, in July 2022 and May 2023, several read as written by staff, and none is newer than 2023. Four of five case studies report no outcome, its own pages disagree on age, size and client count, and it publishes no prices.

Our verdict

VECTOR Labs suits a European healthcare, pharma or manufacturing company that wants forecasting, computer vision or a first AI assistant from a Sofia data science team.

The case for it is a scientific team and stated certification: a chief scientific officer and a head of data science among its named leaders, 100+ scientific publications, ISO 27001 stated on its site, and a live hospital receptionist for Zdraveto with client-quoted figures.

The caution is that its record shows little agent delivery. One case study is an agent; none of its 14 Clutch reviews describes one, and most are 2020 outsourcing work under its old name. Its 10 Google reviews arrived in two bursts and several read as staff reviews. Its own pages disagree on whether it has 30+ or nearly 50 people, 150+ customers or dozens, and whether it was founded in 2018 or has served businesses for more than a decade.

A buyer who wants a production LLM agent with references should look elsewhere, or ask for two agent clients before committing.

Pros

  • ESANA receptionist for Zdraveto children's hospital, with client-quoted 99% call coverage around the clock
  • ISO 9001, ISO 20000-1 and ISO 27001 certification stated on its about page
  • Named science leadership, including a chief scientific officer and a head of data science, and 100+ scientific publications
  • Clutch 5.0 from 14 reviews, with $50-$99 an hour and a $10,000 minimum

Cons

  • Most of its Clutch record is general software outsourcing: 10 of 14 reviews date from 2020 under the Childish name, and none describes an agent or LLM build, so agent work rests on one case study.
  • All 10 Google reviews arrived in two bursts, July 2022 and May 2023, several read as written by staff, and one reviewer shares a partner's surname.
  • Four of five case studies report no measured outcome, and four are anonymized.
  • Its own pages disagree on age (founded 2018, or serving businesses for more than a decade), size (30+ or nearly 50 people) and clients (150+ or dozens).
  • Publishes no prices.
