About WeAreBrain

WeAreBrain is a digital product agency in Amsterdam, founded in 2015, with a growing office in Valencia and an EdTech hub on the EPFL campus in Switzerland. Its about page counts 60+ FTE across 13 nationalities and names eleven people without titles or a founder. For most of its history it built websites, apps, e-commerce and Contentful and Framer sites. It now presents itself as AI-native, with an AI Transformation service run as discovery, prototyping in 4-6 week cycles and governance, plus AI product and agent development, automation and sovereign or private AI. It says it builds on Sinas, an open-source AI platform it describes as its own and in beta, and names Azure, Azure ML, AWS and SageMaker.

Its AI work is published without figures. For Truck Tyre Assist it built ERP-based case and RFQ automation with OCR and LLM recognition of supplier PDFs and supplier API integrations, live from September 2025, with results described as faster case handling and less manual work. Other AI cases are an offline crisis-response prototype for Crisis Cognition and three anonymized builds: a sovereign AI platform for regulated industries, an AI and human operating system for an automotive firm, and product-data work for an e-commerce firm. Its outside record is 4.9 from 8 on Clutch, 4.8 from 8 on DesignRush and 5.0 from 7 on Google. Clutch shows a $5,000 minimum and $50-$99 an hour, with most reviewed projects between $50,000 and $199,999.

No outside review describes AI work. The eight Clutch reviews all date from 2020 and cover websites, portals, apps and webshops; the eight DesignRush reviews all arrived within one week in early 2025 and cover web, branding and software; one Google review is from a member of its leadership list and another is plainly about a different business. No case study carries an outcome figure, it publishes no prices, the legal entity is not shown on the pages read, and the SAP Silver partner and Framer Expert badges appear only as logos.

Our verdict

WeAreBrain suits a European company that wants an AI prototype or LLM workflow built by an established engineering agency that can also handle the web and product work around it.

The case for it is scale and tenure: 60+ staff, a firm founded in 2015, and a described AI build for Truck Tyre Assist that combines ERP automation, OCR and LLM document recognition and supplier APIs, live since September 2025.

The caution is that the AI practice has no independent record. Every outside review describes web, app or e-commerce work, none of its AI cases states a result, and the platform it says it builds on is in beta. Clutch puts typical projects at $50,000-$199,999.

A buyer who needs proof of AI delivery should ask for an AI client reference, since no published review provides one.

Pros

  • Founded in 2015, with 60+ staff per its about page and offices in Amsterdam and Valencia
  • A described AI build for Truck Tyre Assist: ERP case and RFQ automation with OCR and LLM supplier-PDF recognition, live since September 2025
  • An AI Transformation service with a stated method: discovery, prototyping in 4-6 week cycles, and governance
  • Outside ratings on three platforms: 4.9 from 8 on Clutch, 4.8 from 8 on DesignRush and 5.0 from 7 on Google
  • A free AI opportunity session for SMEs

Cons

  • AI is a recent repositioning of a web and product agency, and no outside review describes an AI engagement: the Clutch reviews all date from 2020 and the DesignRush reviews all cover web work.
  • No case study, AI or otherwise, carries an outcome figure.
  • Publishes no prices; Clutch puts most reviewed projects at $50,000-$199,999.
  • The Sinas platform it says it builds on is in beta.
  • One Google review is from a member of its leadership list and another is about a different business.
